Look at a single flower.  How fortunate it is!

Its seed survived the ravages of chance and its roots found a home in the warm earth.     Leaning-in with the others against the wind, it fought for its own small place in the sun.

Last night, for the first time, it saw the immensity of the universe, full of stars and translucent blackness.  Beautiful!

Considering all of this, a tiny weed could feel very insignificant.

But it knows that a life can’t last, and so will grasp this final, joyful day,

and bloom.
